STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Theatre at Tarleton is hosting open auditions \u2014 6 p.m. Friday, Sept. 15, and 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 16, Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center 103 \u2014 for roles in two upcoming productions, The Revenant<\/em> and A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members of the Tarleton State University student body, faculty and staff, and residents of Stephenville and the Erath County area age 8 and above are invited. Materials for reading will be provided.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Revenant<\/em>, which opens Oct. 27, introduces two Victorian-era gentlemen who find themselves in a London park at night with no knowledge of who brought them there or why. They accuse one another of their real intentions while also discussing a lady in their lives. Rehearsals begin Sept. 19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Rehearsals for A Christmas Carol: A Radio Play<\/em> begin Oct. 16 for the Nov. 29 opening. Written by Philip Grecian, the familiar story is told as a radio drama onstage, complete with sound effects and music cues. The play is staged with minimal costuming and a simple set. The actors each perform multiple parts and will read from scripts at three floor microphones downstage. Sound effects and music are performed live. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
