STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 The American Bar Association gave its approval to Tarleton State University\u2019s legal studies program at the ABA\u2019s recent annual meeting in Denver. The program becomes just the second ABA-approved bachelor\u2019s degree in Texas. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cToday\u2019s ABA approval of the legal studies program is evidence of Tarleton\u2019s commitment to its strategic goal of providing a life-changing educational experience for students,\u201d said Dr. Amy O\u2019Dell, head of Tarleton State\u2019s Department of Government, Legal Studies and Philosophy. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n Legal studies majors may choose between two concentrations \u2014 pre-law, with its broad-based interdisciplinary curriculum designed to develop logical reasoning, rhetoric, analysis, critical thinking and writing skills, or paralegal, for students who have logical and analytical minds, possess organizational skills and thrive on attention to detail.
