Governor Greg Abbott recently approved a record $1.19 billion in new spending for The Texas A&M System, ushering in an unprecedented 30 percent growth in general revenue for Tarleton State University for the next biennium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tarleton State saw the second-highest percentage growth in funding in the system, only behind A&M College Station, and was also allocated a $5 million exceptional item, reflecting its contributions to research and innovation in addressing healthcare needs throughout the region and state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The new spending, outlined across several bills, allows us to freeze undergraduate tuition and academic fees for Texas residents over the next two years, furthering our commitment to providing opportunity and access for all students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
