STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Petroleum Experts Limited has renewed the user licenses for a petroleum engineering and structural geology software package the Houston-based company donated in late 2019 to Tarleton State University\u2019s Department of Chemistry, Geosciences and Physics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The MOVE software is valued at more than $2.5 million.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Geoscientists and engineers use MOVE in any geological setting and across a variety of industry sectors. At Tarleton the software is integrated directly into the curriculum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis generous gift continues to provide our students access to relevant industry technology, which equips them to be competitive in the workplace,\u201d said Tarleton President James Hurley. \u201cWe\u2019re grateful for this ongoing partnership with Petroleum Experts.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The donation specifically benefits students in Tarleton\u2019s geoscience programs at both the undergraduate and master\u2019s levels. The programs help prepare for careers in geology, environmental science, petroleum geology, earth science and hydrogeology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The software enables scientists in the oil and gas industry to dynamically model oil reservoirs, production and injection wells, and surface pipeline networks as an integrated production system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
