Tuesday\u2019s session starts with a \u201cHealthy in a Hurry\u201d cooking show by food and nutrition Assistant Professor Paula McKeehan. She and her students will present healthy food recipes and ideas at 11:30 a.m. in Thompson Student Center 27. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Wednesday features a health mini-conference, plus Sodexo\u2019s Farmers Market will offer fresh fruits and vegetables for purchase from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the Dining Hall Patio. The mini-conference, in Thompson Student Center 130, will feature three sessions on healthy living, nutrition and well-being. Sodexo is Tarleton\u2019s dining partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n At 10 a.m. \u201cHealthy Living for Your Brain and Body\u201d will be facilitated by Melissa Griffin from the Alzheimer\u2019s Association of North Central Texas. The second session, \u201cNutrition for Better Health and Performance Among College Students,\u201d will be led by Andrea Brooks, Family and Community Health Agent from Texas A&M AgriLife \u2013 Erath County. Morgan Young from Tarleton Student Counseling Services will lead the final session, \u201cFoundations of Well-being.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n A sign-in sheet will be available at each event.
