Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is provided by Tarleton faculty and students. Taxpayers with income up to $60,000 are eligible for help, no appointments required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As part of the Internal Revenue Service\u2019s VITA program, Tarleton faculty and student volunteers prepared and e-filed nearly 20 federal income tax returns for community members Feb. 25. To participate in VITA, volunteers must complete IRS training and at least three certification exams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Assistance is first come, first served. Bring ID, Social Security card, W-2 and any relevant tax documentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
