STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Following a national search, Rajarshi V. Aroskar, PhD, has been named Dean of Tarleton State University\u2019s College of Business, effective Feb. 6.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Aroskar joins Tarleton after more than three years as Dean of the Huether School of Business at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, N.Y., where he championed national and international career placement opportunities for students, developed market-responsive academic programs, increased enrollment, spearheaded fundraising, and created strategic partnerships with key business and industry leaders. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He will oversee Tarleton undergraduate and graduate programs endorsed by the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs Baccalaureate\/Graduate Degree Boards of Commissioners and the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. AACSB accreditation places the programs among the top 5 percent of business colleges worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

 \u201cThe ability to attract leaders like Dr. Aroskar is a testament to the growing prominence of our College of Business,\u201d said Dr. Diane Stearns, Provost and Executive Vice President for Academic Affairs. \u201cHis extensive experience in academic program development, stewardship and entrepreneurship is a huge win for Tarleton.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Prior to Huether, Dr. Aroskar served as Professor and Chair of the Accounting and Finance Department at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire. He received the Roger Selin Excellence in Teaching Award in 2012 and the Professor of the Year Award from the Beta Gamma Sigma Honors Society in 2007.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dr. Aroskar: \u201cI look forward to working with Tarleton faculty, staff, administrators and communities to empower students and prepare future leaders through robust partnerships. Tarleton is on a trajectory to reach exceptional heights, and I\u2019m honored to be part of this journey for the College of Business and the university.\u201dA Certified Financial Analyst, Dr. Aroskar holds a doctorate in finance from the University of Texas at Arlington.
