STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University has been recognized by the ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge (ALL IN) as a 2022 Most Engaged Campus for College Student Voting. The honor recognizes colleges and universities for making intentional efforts to increase student voter participation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cCollege student voter turnout has increased since 2016, and this increase has been driven by students,\u201d said Jennifer Domagal-Goldman, ALL IN Executive Director. \u201cThe ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge is excited to expand our Voting Honor Roll to recognize these student voting champions across the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThese students registered voters, served on their campus voting coalitions, spearheaded voter education efforts, advocated for campus polling locations and organized other voter engagement efforts to ensure their peers were confident and informed voters.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The ALL IN Campus Democracy Challenge empowers colleges and universities to achieve excellence in nonpartisan student democratic engagement. Campuses that join complete a set of action items, with the support of Challenge staff, to institutionalize nonpartisan civic learning, political engagement and voter participation. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis recognition affirms Tarleton State\u2019s emphasis on civic engagement and shows that we continue to reach new highs in student voting,\u201d said Dr. Eric Morrow, Dean of the College of Liberal and Fine Arts and a national steering committee member of the American Democracy Project. \u201cOur collaborative work with the Division of Student Affairs and the expansion of ADP academic initiatives at Tarleton are helping students realize the value and necessity of civic engagement for a thriving democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
