STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 State Agriculture Commissioner Sid Miller will discuss career opportunities in public service and the impact of state and national policies on individual Texans when he visits Tarleton State University\u2019s Stephenville campus Tuesday, Sept. 13. A brief Q&A session is included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The event, at 7 p.m. in room 118 of the O.A. Grant Humanities Building (near South Lillian Street at West Washington Street), is open to the public. Seating is limited. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

An eighth-generation farmer and rancher, Miller is the 12th Commissioner of the Texas Department of Agriculture. Born in De Leon in Comanche County, he graduated with honors from Tarleton with a bachelor of science degree in vocational agriculture education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He was first elected to the state House of Representatives in 2000. He was elected Agriculture Commissioner in 2014 and re-elected in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
