STEPHENVILLE, Texas\u2014The Texas Center for Educational Facilities at Tarleton State University, in cooperation with the CRUX Technology and Security Solutions, presents a School Safety Seminar with Paul Timm to North Texas school leaders and educators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The free seminar is set from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Burnet Plaza Building, 801 Cherry St. in downtown Fort Worth.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The School Safety Seminar will focus on strategies for improving access control and communications, even with infrastructure limitations, to increase school safety. This interactive seminar will present real solutions, many of which can be implemented at little or no cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Timm is a board-certified Physical Security Professional (PSP), president of RETA Security Inc., and a nationally acclaimed expert in school security. In addition to conducting numerous vulnerability assessments and his frequent keynote addresses, Timm is an experienced School Crisis Assistance Team volunteer through the National Organization for Victims Assistance. He holds a patent on a vulnerability assessment methodology known as ALPHA\u00d4 and is certified in Vulnerability Assessment Methodology through Sandia National Laboratories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
He is also a member of ASIS International, where he serves as vice chairman of the School Safety & Security Council, and the Illinois Association of School Business Officials, where he serves on the Risk Management Committee. Nearing the completion of his master\u2019s of divinity at Moody Theological Seminary, Timm holds a degree in speech communications and a certificate in business administration from the University of Illinois.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
