The reigning event champion in the National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association Southwest Region will try to solidify his position with his second go-round attempt during today\u2019s slack performance at the Ford Wyoming Center.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Fellow steer wrestler Ty Allred turned in a 7.3 Monday, good for 14th. He\u2019ll see his second steer today, as well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Saddle bronc riders Brody Wells and Cash Wilson put themselves in line to make the event finals with top five second-go scores Monday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Brody, from nearby Powell, Wyo., is third in the average after a 73 Monday added to his first-round 80. Teammate Cash Wilson took a 71 in Monday action, giving him a two-ride 149.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Wilson returns for his third ride Wednesday night, and Wells will be back in the chute Friday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rounding out Tarleton\u2019s men\u2019s team scores for Monday were Brayden Roe, who posted an eighth-place 11.1 in tie-down roping, and Brett Stuart and Mason Pitts, who placed 22nd in team roping with their 14.7 run.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Roe and the Stuart-Pitts team will see action at today\u2019s slack performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tarleton individual women\u2019s qualifier breakaway roper Maddy Deerman, also competed Monday. Deerman flashed a 2.8 to give her a 5.6 time after two calves.
