STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University choirs will present their spring concert at 7:30 p.m. Friday, April 22, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Theater in Stephenville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are $5, or free with a Tarleton ID. The box office opens at 6:30 the night of the show.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The student conductor experience is a vital part of future music educators\u2019 preparation, and the concert will feature several student conductors, including Gerry Ongmanchi with Healey Willan\u2019s \u201cRise Up My Love, My Fair One,\u201d Barrett Monk with Moses Hogan\u2019s \u201cHear My Prayer,\u201d Michael Holbach with Sanctus No. III by J.S. Bach; Caitlin Hoffman with Allan Koepke\u2019s \u201cDance on My Heart,\u201d London Pinder with James Mulholland\u2019s \u201cMeasure Me Sky,\u201d Gage McGuffin with Victor Johnson\u2019s setting of \u201cKuimba,\u201d and Maxwell Tindall with Andrea Ramsey\u2019s arrangement of \u201cTell My Father\u201d from the Civil War.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Students from the Chamber Choir will have just returned from a tour to DFW schools and will be eager to sing for their home audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Chamber Choir, Texan Riders, Texan Harmony and Texan Troubadours will perform several works, including the premier of composer Chris Harris\u2019 \u201cJoy Never Leaves,\u201d Ola Gjeilo\u2019s haunting \u201cUbi Caritas\u201d setting, Kinley Lange\u2019s \u201cEsto Les Digo,\u201d and a set of classic barbershop selections \u2014 \u201cWe\u2019ll Meet Again,\u201d \u201cMr. Sandman\u201d and \u201cShine on Me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
