Wells Fine Art Center Gallery of Art in Stephenville. Now in its eighth year, the exhibition features the work \u2014 painting, graphic design, photography, animation \u2014 of students in art and digital media studies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\"><figure class=\"alignright size-medium is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/65\/2022\/04\/6969-300x180.jpeg\" alt=\"student art exhibition graphic\" class=\"wp-image-45715\" width=\"300\" height=\"180\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/65\/2022\/04\/6969-300x180.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/65\/2022\/04\/6969-1024x614.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/65\/2022\/04\/6969-600x360.jpeg 600w, https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/65\/2022\/04\/6969-768x461.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/65\/2022\/04\/6969.jpeg 1500w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This year\u2019s juror is Iris Bechtol, Cultural Programs Coordinator at the Oak Cliff Cultural Center Gallery in Dallas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cArt should capture and hold the viewer\u2019s gaze, or at least encourage one to return to look again,\u201d she said. \u201cIn jurying the artworks, I looked for work that held my interest or compelled me to return after that initial first look.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cAll of the students should be tremendously proud of their accomplishments and continue to push themselves technically and conceptually.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The&nbsp;free exhibition will remain up through Friday, April 3. At its close, the Senior Art and Digital Media Studies Exhibition Series will begin.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Participating in this year\u2019s juried exhibition were Cadence Argumaniz, Cassidy Balder, Katie Chambliss, Michelle Foster, Sarah Goolsby, Nicole Hernandez, Xochitl Licea, Alexandria Lopez, Amber Lopez, Leslie Moore, Destiny Robles, Harlan Rowlett, Caleb Spenrath, Linda Waldenmaier, Hudson Woodring and Samuel Yankie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The gallery is open weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 The&nbsp;Annual&nbsp;Tarleton State University Juried Student&nbsp;Art Exhibition opens today at the Clyde H.
