STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 Tarleton State University Jazz Ensembles II and III will be in concert Sunday, Nov. 21, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The show begins at 7:30 p.m. Tickets, all general admission, are $5, or free with a Tarleton ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Thomas Burchill directs Jazz Ensemble II, which was created to introduce beginners to jazz. The music ranges from educational to professional charts, with some students joining on a secondary instrument.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jazz Ensemble III, directed by Wade Girton, will play compositions by Duke Ellington and Thelonious Monk. The concert also will feature arrangements done collaboratively\/by ear by the ensemble musicians.<\/p>\n\n\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
