STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014 The Tarleton State University Jazz Ensemble I plays its final concert of the semester Monday, Nov. 22, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m., and the box office opens at 6:30. Admission is $5, or free with a Tarleton ID.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Denver-based trumpeter Brad Goode and jazz trombone Professor Zach Marley are guest artists.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Goode is a multi-instrumentalist and composer who performs on trumpet, bass and drums; he\u2019s recognized as a unique stylist with a creative approach to improvisation. He has recorded on many jazz albums, including 18 as a leader for the Delmark, Sunlight, SteepleChase and Origin labels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Jazz Ensemble I, under the direction of Dr. Andrew Stonerock, will play Goode originals as well as modern big band selections, including \u201cFirst Circle,\u201d \u201cThree and One\u201d and \u201cAny Dude\u2019ll Do.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n ","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
