STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Dress in your best 1920s attire and bring a flashlight to Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas this Saturday, April 2, for “Museum After Dark!”<\/p>\n
The free scavenger hunt begins at 7:30 p.m. and is appropriate for all ages. As participants finish the hunt, they’ll receive a password for the museum’s “speakeasy” to enjoy light refreshments, period jazz and a photo booth.<\/p>\n
Free transportation is available from the university’s Stephenville campus on a first-come, first-served basis for Tarleton students who reserve a seat by Friday, April 1. For reservations, call 254-968-1886.<\/p>\n
The W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas, a Tarleton museum and research facility located in the historic ghost town of Thurber, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and from 1 to 4 p.m. Sundays. The center is located at Exit 367 on Interstate 20 between Fort Worth and Abilene.
