STEPHENVILLE, Texas\u2014Tarleton State University students, faculty and staff roll up their sleeves this Saturday, April 2, to help local residents with everything from cleaning windows to general lawn and garden work.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 18th annual student-led, student-initiated project\u2014Tarleton Round Up\u2014kicks off a full week of activities, dubbed Texans Team Up, that support the university\u2019s core value of service and takes place in concert with Keep Stephenville Beautiful.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, nearly 700 students, faculty and staff completed 81 projects. This year, more than 1,500 volunteers will tackle 150 jobs. Round Up also expands outside Stephenville to Tarleton\u2019s outreach locations in Fort Worth, Waco and Midlothian.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Due to its popularity in past years, Round Up again provides recycling and document shredding services to the community. A drop-off point for recyclables as well as household hazardous materials, including paint, batteries, oil, automotive lubricants and garden herbicides and pesticides, will be available on the visitor\u2019s side (Harbin Drive) parking lot of Memorial Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteers and others interested in Round Up can follow the effort on social media and share stories and photos using #TarletonRoundUp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
