STEPHENVILLE, Texas—KTRL 90.5 FM, Tarleton State University’s public, nonprofit radio station begins its annual end-of-year membership drive Tuesday, Dec. 6. Pledges for support can be made via phone or online.<\/p>\n
Partners with KAMU-FM—Texas A&M’s public radio station in College Station—KTRL airs NPR news, classical music and jazz programming, and is the exclusive home for Tarleton sports broadcasts.<\/p>\n
“We have loyal support from our many current members and listeners, but it’s also vital to grow our membership,” said Station Manager John Kirby. “We are proud to serve the vibrant Stephenville and greater Cross Timbers communities through radio and other media, enhancing civic and cultural connections and reflecting our listeners’ sense of place.<\/p>\n
The two-day membership drive, Dec. 6 and 7, takes place from 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Donations made during the drive are tax deductible. Call 254-968-9797 or click the KTRL 90.5 FM Community Supported Public Radio icon at https:\/\/epay.tarleton.edu<\/a> to make a pledge.<\/p>\n KTRL DJs, including Janice Horak, Ed Tober, Moumin Quazi and Stephen Wilson, will be on-air and head the membership drive both days.<\/p>\n Donations to KTRL help ensure continued quality programming for the 10-county area of the Cross Timbers region. Gifts in any amount are welcome, but organizers suggest a donation of $40 or more.<\/p>\n Listeners who make an annual commitment of $1,000 or more will become members of KTRL’s new Leadership Circle.
