Fifth Annual Holiday Collage Concert<\/p>\n\n\n\n

STEPHENVILLE, Texas\u2014Get into the swing of the holidays with an evening of music and singing when Tarleton State University\u2019s Department of Fine Arts presents its fifth annual Holiday Collage Concert at 7:30 p.m. Monday, Dec. 5, in the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center Auditorium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concert kicks off with Brad Holmes\u2019s dynamic African Noel<\/em>, featuring the choirs and student percussionists. Assistant Jazz Professor Greg Ball and the Jazz Ensemble then perform Thad Jones\u2019s A Child Is Born<\/em> and Alan Blaylock\u2019s arrangement of Let It Snow<\/em>. The choirs, under the direction of Dr. Troy Robertson, will present arrangements of Silent Night<\/em>, Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas<\/em> and A La Nanita<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tarleton\u2019s Dr. Anthony Pursell, director of bands, and the Wind Ensemble conclude the concert with Alfred Reed\u2019s beautiful musical tapestry, Russian Christmas Music<\/em>. Audience members are invited to join performers and Tarleton faculty pianist Steve Chambers throughout the program in singing holiday favorites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tickets are $5 for adults or free with a Tarleton ID. The box office will open one hour before the concert. All seating is general admission.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
