STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Journey back 2,000 years to Bethlehem and discover a scientific explanation for the star the wise men followed to find the baby Jesus. Tarleton State University Planetarium’s most popular holiday show The Mystery of the Christmas Star<\/em>—which opens this week and runs through Dec. 21—investigates possible dates for the birth of Christ and looks at recorded sightings of significant astronomical events during this timeframe.<\/p>\n During The Mystery of the Christmas Star<\/em>, visitors to the Tarleton planetarium will see how signs in the sky could have been remarkable enough to cause the wise men to travel across the desert from Babylon to Bethlehem to see the newborn king. This modern retelling of the Christmas story is sure to charm and captivate audiences of all ages.<\/p>\n Admission is free for the 46-minute program, but seating is limited to 86 guests during each show time.<\/p>\n Remaining dates and times for this special holiday presentation are: This holiday timetable replaces Tarleton planetarium’s regular schedule, which resumes Jan. 27, 2017.
