<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\n\nThe performance will be the last one for guests to watch Assistant Professor Greg Ball conduct the ULTRA Club Big Band. Ball plans to retire from Tarleton in May, after 27 years as director of the university\u2019s jazz bands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cI became involved with the ULTRA Club Big Band shortly after coming to Tarleton,\u201d Ball said. \u201cI\u2019ve always been amazed at the dedication of the volunteers in this group. Several of them have been involved longer than I have, and turnover is rare. I will miss making music with this group.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Tickets go on sale Jan. 23, in Room 105E of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center, and will be available at the door, beginning at 7:30 p.m. the night of the dance. Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for students. For more information, call 254-968-9639.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
