STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Enjoy what promises to be a night like no other this Friday, Jan. 27, when Tarleton State University’s wind and jazz ensembles and choirs and soloists celebrate the school’s 100th anniversary as a founding member of The Texas A&M University System.<\/p>\n
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center. Tickets are $10 and go on sale at the box office one hour before show time.<\/p>\n
The special evening of music and singing features original compositions by music faculty members Drs. Anthony Pursell and Troy Robertson, guest conductor Dr. Timothy Rhea, director of bands at Texas A&M University, and the Boston Brass.<\/p>\n
Here’s a look at the evening’s lineup:<\/p>\n
• Centennial Colors<\/em>, commissioned by the Centennial Celebration Committee and composed by Dr. Anthony Pursell, featuring the Tarleton Wind Ensemble For more centennial happenings—including an international rocket competition this summer, a birthday party in September and a concert in November at the Nancy Lee and Perry R.
