STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Listed among the most prestigious juried art events in North Texas, the 20th<\/sup> annual Rio Brazos Art Exhibition at the Dora Lee Langdon Cultural & Educational Center opens with a reception and awards ceremony from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 9.<\/p>\n The Langdon Center is located at the corner of East Bridge and Brazos streets, one block east of the Hood County courthouse in historic downtown Granbury.<\/p>\n Presented by Tarleton State University, the Granbury Arts Alliance and the city of Granbury, this year’s exhibition runs seven days a week, April 9 to April 30. Exhibit hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 4 p.m. on Sundays. Admission is free.<\/p>\n Artwork for this year’s exhibit was selected at the discretion of juror Bill Ryan—artist and owner of Weiler House Fine Arts & Antiques Gallery in Fort Worth—with works grouped according to the type of media used. More than $5,000 in cash and merchandise awards will be presented.<\/p>\n Weiler House Fine Arts & Antiques Gallery is recognized nationally for representing top artists from all over the United States.<\/p>\n The Granbury Arts Alliance (GAA), a non-profit fine arts organization, is a major sponsor of the Rio Brazos Art Exhibition.
