STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Make plans to get your tickets for the annual ULTRA Club Big Band Scholarship Dance on the campus of Tarleton State University.<\/p>\n
Themed “Rhapsody in Blue,” the 2018 dance is set for 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 2, in the Barry B. Thompson Student Center ballrooms. Volunteer musicians and Tarleton students will play traditional jazz and swing music, including arrangements from big band greats such as Glen Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington.<\/p>\n
In addition to music and dancing, there will be snacks and door prizes.<\/p>\n
Tickets are available in Room 105E of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center beginning Jan. 22, and at the door, beginning at 7:30 p.m. the night of the dance. Admission is $15 for adults and $8 for students. For more information or tickets, call 254-968-9291.<\/p>\n
