STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University students hoping for a gig between semesters could find one at the Summer Camp Job Fair set Tuesday, Feb. 6, in the Barry Thompson Student Center.<\/p>\n
The annual event takes place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and features almost two dozen employers seeking summer help.<\/p>\n
“This job fair is different from most of the others we sponsor,” said Candiss Territo, internship coordinator in Tarleton’s Career Service Center. “We don’t require professional dress, but employers are still seeking that customer-service type of personality.”<\/p>\n
Employers, including camp directors for Texas Agri-Life and YMCA, are on the prowl for photographers, videographers and nursing students, as well as other talents.<\/p>\n
“Equine skills are always highly sought after,” Territo said. “For those looking to be vet techs, this is a good opportunity.”<\/p>\n
Cost is free to job seekers. Resumes are encouraged.<\/p>\n
