STEPHENVILLE, Texas—Tarleton State University’s 14th<\/sup> annual Excellence in Teaching Conference is set for Feb. 9 in the Dick Smith Library.<\/p>\n The event, sponsored by the Center for Instructional Innovation at Tarleton, is for faculty and staff from all campuses of the Texas A&M University System and local community colleges.<\/p>\n Presenters will share high-impact teaching practices for peer review and teaching methods to help overcome challenges in diverse learning environments.<\/p>\n The scope of the conference includes but is not limited to:<\/p>\n • Motivating students “A Focus on First-Generation Student Success” is the topic of the luncheon, featuring keynote speaker Dr. Edward Burger, president of Southwestern University.
