Tarleton Staff Member Joins Blackboard MVP Program<\/p>\n

STEPHENVILLE, Texas — A technology support specialist at Tarleton State University is among the newest members of the Blackboard MVP program.<\/p>\n

Justin Carrell has been selected to participate in the program, which is comprised of faculty members, administrators, educators and designers who are Blackboard customers and leaders in the education technology community. <\/p>\n

Carrell, who works in Tarleton’s Center for Instructional Innovation, manages the university lecture capture studio and is the campus ePortfolio administrator. He is pursuing a doctoral degree in educational leadership from Tarleton.<\/p>\n

“As a member of Blackboard MVP, I am able to exhibit one of our university’s core values, service, by assisting higher education professionals at other institutions who support instructional technology,” he said. “I am passionate about helping others and look forward to sharing instructional technology expertise acquired over the last decade.”<\/p>\n

Members of the MVP program are chosen through a competitive application process. They share their expertise by answering questions and assisting other users on the Blackboard community site and through personal blogs, Blackboard blogs, social media and virtual office hours. Participants receive free access to professional development trainings and are invited to private product briefings.<\/p>\n

Blackboard works with schools and universities across the country to deliver education technology and services.<\/p>\n
