STEPHENVILLE, Texas — The 27th annual First Financial Bank Plowboy Shootout is not just a local rite of summer. It’s a chance to show support for Tarleton Athletics.<\/p>\n
The event is set for Friday, June 22, at Squaw Creek Golf Course in Willow Park. Deadline to register is June 15.<\/p>\n
Cost to enter is $400 per team for the four-person scramble and includes green fee, cart rental, continental breakfast, lunch, supper and beverages. A post-tournament drawing for prizes is also part of the festivities.<\/p>\n
Tarleton alumni, former student-athletes and fans of Tarleton Athletics are eligible to play in the tournament.<\/p>\n
“We’d love to have everybody come out,” said Tarleton Athletic Director Lonn Reisman. “The Stephenville and Tarleton State University community, our fans, our boosters, our alumni and our former student-athletes all make this an important event. It’s a great time to reconnect.”<\/p>\n
Participants may register individually or as teams with single players assigned to a foursome.<\/p>\n
Hole sponsorships also are available at the shootout. The $100 sponsorship includes tee-box signage recognizing the donation.<\/p>\n
All money raised through the Plowboy Shootout goes to Tarleton athletic scholarships and student-athlete enhancement.<\/p>\n
