STEPHENVILLE, Texas —Tarleton State University faculty and guest artists lead a full day of workshops as part of the annual Brass and Percussion Day, Saturday, March 2, in the auditorium of the Clyde H. Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville.<\/p>\n
Registration begins at 8 a.m. Admission is free to all events.<\/p>\n
Hosted by the Department of Fine Arts and the university’s bands, the event features master classes, faculty showcases and opportunities for young musicians to work with professionals in a small-group environment.<\/p>\n
Tarleton brass and percussion faculty will join forces with the Center Stage Brass Ensemble and guest artists Dr. Christopher Moore, trumpet; Dr. James Naigus, horn; Clay Garret, tuba; and Casey Cangelosi, percussion.<\/p>\n
An all-star concert featuring guest clinicians and Tarleton faculty rounds out the day.<\/p>\n
