STEPHENVILLE, Texas —Tarleton State University’s W.K. Gordon Center for Texas Industrial History offers a free screening of the 1934 film classic “The Thin Man” at 6:30 p.m., Saturday, April 13, at the museum in Thurber.<\/p>\n
The iconic comedic murder mystery features William Powell as the dashing Nick Charles and Myrna Loy as his sophisticated wife, Nora.<\/p>\n
Nick and Nora are based in San Francisco and attempting to settle down. However, Nick, a retired detective, is pressed back into service by a young woman investigating the disappearance of her father.<\/p>\n
The event is part of the Night at the Opera House series at the Gordon Center. The showing is free but seating is limited and reservations are recommended. A light snack will be served at intermission.<\/p>\n
