STEPHENVILLE, Texas — The College of Business Administration at Tarleton State University is co-hosting the Advances in Business Research Symposium, Nov. 11 and 12 at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith.<\/p>\n
The symposium serves academic researchers and business leaders while providing a platform for stakeholders to exchange ideas, identify trends, learn new approaches and examine issues about the various disciplines of business administration, entrepreneurship and leadership.<\/p>\n
Next year’s symposium will be on the Tarleton campus.<\/p>\n
“Our collaboration with the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith is our commitment to engage students, the business community and researchers to find innovative solutions that positively impact student development, address real-world business issues, and advance our understanding of the theoretical and applied world of research,” said Dr. Joseph H. Schuessler, associate dean of the College of Business Administration.<\/p>\n
In addition to promoting academic research, the symposium offers corporate executives and managers, entrepreneurs, leaders of not-for-profit organizations and other professionals an opportunity to increase their awareness about the world of business.<\/p>\n
Researchers working in these fields are invited to electronically submit manuscripts to be considered for presentations before faculty, staff, students and non-academic professionals. Submission deadline is Oct. 15 to mohamed.zainuba@uafs.edu.<\/p>\n
Symposium registration fee is $325 (students $100), which includes meals and refreshments. The symposium welcomes graduate and undergraduate students in any related discipline as session presenters, reviewers or attendees. Faculty who sponsor students to attend and five or more participants coming from the same university are $275 per person.<\/p>\n

In conjunction with the symposium, COBA sponsors the Advances in Business Research journal as an outlet for a range of business-related research topics. Dr. Brian Martinson is managing editor.<\/p>\n
