Wells Fine Arts Center in Stephenville.<\/p>\n<p>The event kicks off with registration at 8 a.m. and features classes, ensemble performances and an evening concert featuring Brass Day guest clinician and performer Dr. Jason Hausback.<\/p>\n<p>Hausback&nbsp;is an associate professor of trombone at Missouri State University, where he directs the Jazz Studies Ensemble II.<\/p>\n<p>Prior to his arrival at Missouri State, he was active as a teacher and a performer in the Dallas\/Fort Worth Metroplex. He taught low brass at Eastfield College in Mesquite and at Brookhaven College in Farmer&rsquo;s Branch.<\/p>\n<p>At the University of North Texas he was both a classical and jazz Teaching Fellow and directed the U-Tubes, who won the 2010 Eastern Trombone Workshop National Jazz Trombone Ensemble Competition. He issued their self-titled CD in the spring of 2011. Additionally, Hausback was a member of the internationally-acclaimed One O&rsquo;Clock Lab Band at UNT and was on the recording &ldquo;Lab 2009,&rdquo; which was nominated for two Grammy awards.<\/p>\n<p>Registration for Brass, Woodwind and Percussion Day is free.
