Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas will begin accepting visitors by appointment Tuesday, May 19.<\/p>\n<p>One-hour sessions are available at 10 and 11:30 a.m. and 1 and 2:30 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 and 2:30 p.m. Sunday with a half-hour for cleaning and disinfecting in-between.<\/p>\n<p>For the protection and safety of guests, staff will wear masks&nbsp;and gloves. Guests are encouraged but not required to wear masks. Hand sanitizer will be available at the door and in the gift shop.<\/p>\n<p>Admission is half price during the reopening &mdash; $2.50 for adults, $1.25 students 5-12, and $2 seniors.<\/p>\n<p>For the fifth straight summer, the Gordon Center is participating in the Blue Star Museum Program, which offers free admission to members of the armed forces and their families.<\/p>\n<p>Blue Star Museums is a collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense and more than 2,000 museums across America.<\/p>\n<p>The W.K. Gordon Center for Industrial History of Texas, a Tarleton museum and research facility in the historic ghost town of Thurber, is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and 1-4 p.m. Sundays.
