STEPHENVILLE, Texas — To address the financial impact caused by the coronavirus, Tarleton State University is cutting summer housing and meal plan costs in half. Students enrolled for the summer semester will pay less than $1,000 for residential housing, and a plan that provides three meals daily Monday-Friday will cost less than $700.<\/p>\n
“So many of our students and their families have lost jobs or had their income significantly reduced over the last several months,” said Dr. Kelli Styron, vice president for student affairs. “We want to do everything we can to ensure Tarleton Texans successfully complete their degree despite the challenges of covid-19. We have to believe reducing the cost of room and board is good news in these profoundly unsettling times.”<\/p>\n
Students can apply for reduced summer housing and meal plans by logging in to Duck Trax through My Gateway and clicking on the housing link. Rates for students already assigned to residential housing will be adjusted.<\/p>\n
