STEPHENVILLE, Texas — Tarleton State University President James Hurley last week announced special recognition for students earning a 4.0 GPA for the fall 2019 and\/or spring 2020 semesters. The inaugural President’s List acknowledges profound student effort in the face of covid-19 and the unexpected shift to distance learning.<\/p>\n
“I am so proud of these students for their determination to make the most of an unsettling situation,” Hurley said. “It’s not easy to get a 4.0 in normal circumstances, but they earned perfect grades while dealing with unprecedented uncertainty.<\/p>\n
“Creating this President’s List to recognize their over-the-top commitment is quite simply the Tarleton way.”<\/p>\n
Hurley said the President’s List “will be in place forever to honor Tarleton’s highest academic achievers.” Full-time students who earn a 4.0 GPA for either the fall or spring semester of each academic year will be recognized.<\/p>\n
