STEPHENVILLE, Texas \u2014\u00a0Tarleton State University steer wrestler Walt Arnold flashed a 6.1-second time for sixth place in his first action Monday at the College National Finals Rodeo in Casper, Wyo.<\/p>\n
Four Tarleton rodeo team members competed Monday, including breakaway roper Maddy Deerman, whose second-go 4.6 was good for 11th<\/sup>\u00a0place; goat tyer Rickie Engesser, who posted a 12th<\/sup>-place 6.6; and saddle bronc rider Jake Barnes, who earned a 68.5 on his second-round effort.<\/p>\n Bull rider Cullen Telfer took no score on his second bull of the rodeo Monday after an opening-round 78 over the weekend. Only three cowboys received scores in Monday\u2019s slack session.<\/p>\n Four Tarleton students will be in the arena today.
