Rooms and Spaces

The Tarleton Libraries provide various spaces to meet your study and meeting needs. These include quiet spaces, first-come, first-served study rooms, collaboration tables, and reservable study and meeting rooms. In addition to the spaces highlighted below, the library provide seating, study tables, and desktop computers throughout the library.

You can now reserve many library spaces yourself using our online Room Reservation System.

Group Study Rooms

Rooms 225 & 231
  • Room 225 seats up to 8 people
  • Room 231 seats up to 6 people
Rooms 226-230 & 233-239
  • First come, first served
  • All seat up to 6 people

Presentation Practice Room

  • Located on the Lower Level, room 010.
  • Seats up to 10
  • Equipped with presenter computer station, projector and Smartboard.

Multi-purpose Meeting Room

  • Seats up to 46 with tables, 70 without tables
  • Equipped with presenter computer station, projector, SmartBoard, speakers and TV

Library Training Center

  • To request a reservation, call 254-968-9456.
  • Hands-on computer access.
  • Seats up to 36.
  • Equipped with presenter computer station, SmartBoard, projector, speakers, phone and 36 desktop computers, including one ADA station.

Individual Study Rooms

  • Located on the Upper Level
  • All first come, first serve
Students studying in the Quiet Zone

Quiet Zone

  • Located in the back of the Upper Level of the Library.
  • Patrons are asked to remain quiet and refrain from talking while in the Quiet Zone.

Library Learning Commons

  • Collaborative space located on the main level of the library
  • Includes desktop computers, study tables and chairs, laptop vending machine, collaboration tables, access to assistance from library staff and learning commons partners.

Collaboration Tables & Rooms

  • Located on the main and lower levels of the Dick Smith Library.
  • First come, first served.
  • Tables are equipped with an on-board computer and cables for connecting your device to the display.
  • Cable adaptors/ dongles are available for checkout from the Circulation Desk.
