With the generous assistance of Janice Horak, we have been able to institute our&nbsp;<em>Langdon Review<\/em>&nbsp;Writer-in-Residency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>2015 Writer-in-Residence: Christopher Carmona<\/li><li>2016 Writer-in-Residence: Tui Snider<\/li><li>2017 Writer-in-Residence: Katherine Hoerth<\/li><li>2018 Writer-in-Residence: Sandi Horton<\/li><li>2019 Writer-in-Residence: Sonia Arora<\/li><li>2020 and 2021 Residency canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic<\/li><li>2022 Writer-in-Residence: Tom Murphy<\/li><li>2023 Writer-in-Residence: Sara Hickman<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Application Requirements<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants will need to submit the following materials when they apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li style=\"list-style-type: disc !important;color: #181818\">1000-1500 word proposal that explains how such an experience will benefit them and the Granbury community<\/li><li style=\"list-style-type: disc !important;color: #181818\">Curriculum vitae (applicants must be Texas residents)<\/li><li style=\"list-style-type: disc !important;color: #181818\">Portfolio of unpublished material:<ul><li style=\"list-style-type: disc !important;color: #181818\">For poets \u2013 a minimum of 10 poems<\/li><li style=\"list-style-type: disc !important;color: #181818\">For prose writers \u2013 a minimum of 3,500 words<\/li><li style=\"list-style-type: disc !important;color: #181818\">For artists, photographers, everything else \u2013 a portfolio<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Responsibilities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Writers-in-Residence will be required to fulfill the following obligations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Share your work<\/li><li>Demonstrate that proposal plans have been fulfilled<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Time Frame<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The time frame for this Writer-in-Residence Program will be 2 weeks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The following benefits will accompany the Program:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>$500 cash prize<\/li><li>2 weeks free lodging<\/li><li>Publication in the journal,&nbsp;<em>Langdon Review of the Arts in Texas<\/em><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Send materials (proposal, cv, and portfolio) to&nbsp;<a href=\"mailto:langdon@tarleton.edu\">langdon@tarleton.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In 2014, a generous ongoing grant from the&nbsp;Granbury Wine Walk&nbsp;helped us establish a new&nbsp;Langdon Review&nbsp;Writer-in-Residence Program Endowment.
