Professor Emeritus (TAMU SYSTEM LEVEL)<\/h4><\/div>
\n

The Regents Professor Award was instituted by The Texas A&M University System in 1996 to honor individuals at the rank of professor or equivalent who have provided exemplary service as faculty members not only to their university or agency, but also to the community, the State of Texas, and\/or the nation, and\/or at the international level. Recipients of this award are designated as \u201cRegents Professors\u201d. Once professors have been designated as such, they will retain the title throughout the duration of their service at the University or Agency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Eligibility Criteria:<\/strong>
\u00b7-Must bear the rank of professor or equivalent for a minimum of five years at a System university or agency
-A distinguished record of service both at the local and state, and\/or national, and\/or international level
-An outstanding record of teaching, combined with accomplishments in research or other creative or scholarly activity
-Give guidance on the potential for continuation of distinguished service
-Be a full-time faculty member (may include department heads)
-Demonstrated a sincere commitment to the university or agency<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Chancellor\u2019s Excellence in Teaching Award (TAMU SYSTEM LEVEL)<\/h4><\/div>

Created to recognize outstanding faculty based on student evaluation of instruction. President Dominic Dottavio stated \u201cIt is a high honor to be recognized in this manner by Tarleton\u2019s students and a clear indication that our faculty members are making a difference in the Tarleton community.\u201d The award was established in Spring 2009 and discontinued in December 2012.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
