Athletic Training Facilities

The Master of Science in Athletic Training program require hands-on clinical experience. This provide athletic training students the opportunity to assist with healthcare for the Tarleton Texan and TexAnn athletic teams, as well as with other off-campus facilities and teams. Each athletic training facility provide clinical experiences with specific teams:

Clinical Exercise and Research Facility (CERF)

The Clinical Exercise Research Facility provide a large amount of health and fitness evaluations, such as, VO2 Max, stress testing, and lactate threshold testing. The CERF is committed to improving the quality and quantity of life for Stephenville and the surrounding communities by providing comprehensive health and fitness evaluations and programs through teaching, research, extension, and continuing education.

Champions Club

In the Champions Club, students can purchase kinesiology gear, class supplies, snacks, and water. They can also get help with Professional Development (PD) points. Student workers in the Champions Club are available to help upload PD points.

The club has a laid back and inviting atmosphere for students to relax and hang out between classes. Students are also able to meet with classmates and utilize the available computers. The Champions Club is located in the Kinesiology Building, Room 102.

Laboratory for Wellness and Motor Behavior (LWMB)

The LWMB works with individuals who have physical disabilities and provide therapies to increase mobility and health. This degree plan will prepare students for clinical careers such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, cardiac rehabilitation, physicians assistants, etc.

Swimming Pool

A pool pass can be purchased at the pool in the Kinesiology Building, during pool hours.

The indoor pools feature a lap pool, diving pool and are heat regulated. The pools are home to swimming classes, scuba classes, and water aerobics classes. The pools are open to Tarleton students, as well as to the public.

Tennis Courts

The tennis courts are home to the TexAnn tennis team. A recent expansion took the facility from four courts to eight. The tennis courts are located adjacent from the Kinesiology building.

Volleyball Gym

Volleyball Gym

The Volleyball Gym is home to the TexAnn Volleyball team. It also hosts Kinesiology classes, as well as practices for the Texan Stars Dance Team, and the Tarleton Cheer squads.

Wisdom Gymnasium

The Wisdom Gymnasium is home to the Texan and TexAnn basketball teams. The court is also host to FFA contests, Texan Tour, Transition Week activities, commencement, and professional development workshops put on by the department of kinesiology.
