Immigration Check-In

The Department of Homeland Security requires Tarleton State University to report your arrival to campus.

The immigration check-in is mandatory for all new international students. Failure to report to an International Student Advisor may result in termination of your F-1 student status.

Stephenville students must report directly to the International Office as soon as they arrive to campus to complete their immigration check-in. The International Office is located in room 21 at the lower level of the Thompson Student Center.

Fort Worth students must report during the mandatory meeting for international students. Check-in will take place at that same time. See below for details.

  • Current Passport
  • Current F-1 or J-1 visa
  • Printed I-94 document. You can access this document at the following link:
  • Tarleton State Form I-20 or DS-2019
  • Form I-20 or DS-2019 of your dependents (spouse and children) if applicable.
  • I-20s from any previous institutions you attended
  • Current U.S. Address

The mandatory meeting will introduce you to Tarleton State University, allow you to meet new students, and provide you with information on relevant topics such as:

  • Immigration Requirements and Responsibilities
  • Academic Expectations
  • Health insurance
  • Tax Obligations for International Students
  • Campus Resources and Services
