Here are some key recommendations:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-advgb-list\"><ul class=\"advgblist-d57eaea5-4fd4-4a39-8803-1fc410453bb4\">\n<li><strong>Plan ahead<\/strong>: When making a request, please allow TWO WEEKS to complete your request.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Define Your Purpose<\/strong>: Clearly articulate why you need the data. This helps IDA understand the context and relevance, allowing them to provide more tailored information.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Be Specific<\/strong>: Specify exactly what data you need. Include details such as the data type (quantitative or qualitative), the specific timeframe, and any variables of interest.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Use Clear Language<\/strong>: Avoid jargon or overly technical terms that may confuse the IR staff. Aim for clarity to facilitate better understanding.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Provide Context<\/strong>: If applicable, include background information on your project or research question to help IR understand the significance of your request.<\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Following these best practices can enhance communication with Institutional Analytics and improve the chances of efficiently receiving the needed data.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>A glossary is available for any terms you may be unsure about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are completing a survey or other form, please attach a copy to your data request to help us understand your request more definitively.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once your request has been received, it will be reviewed and assigned to a member of the IDA staff.
