Performance management involves both the employee and the supervisor working on an ongoing basis to achieve pre-established performance goals and expectations. It includes activities such as communicating expectations, observing employee performance and giving feedback, and helping employees build on current strengths and develop needed skills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group has-black-color has-text-color has-background is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow advgb-dyn-4ea59946\" style=\"background-color:#e1e1e1\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">When are Performance Evaluations Required?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Performance evaluations are required at least annually for budgeted faculty and staff positions. The performance review program will begin in April and will cover employee performance from June through May. Performance evaluations are due June 30th.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>New staff employees are required to have a performance evaluation completed within the first four months of employment.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Existing employees who have been promoted are required to have an evaluation completed within the first 90 days of the promotion.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Student workers must be evaluated before a pay raise can be submitted. Periodic evaluation of a long-term student worker is recommended as part of that worker&#8217;s development.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:25px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How do I Complete my Performance Evaluation?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>All performance evaluations are in Workday and can be accessed by clicking the Performance Worklet on your Workday Home page. An employee can add or edit a goal at anytime in Workday. Goals can be edited or added by the employee or supervisor at any time in Workday.
