The award is the highest honor bestowed by the A&amp;M System on faculty members. The performance of those selected is considered meritorious and worthy of recognition of their achievements that impacted not only their institution or agency but also the community, the state of Texas, and\/or national and international levels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"advgb-dyn-0b826ec9\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/394\/2025\/11\/Regents-Professor-Award-History-11.14.25.pdf\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/394\/2025\/11\/Regents-Professor-Award-History-11.14.25.pdf\">Regents Professor Awardees<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Eligibility Criteria<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Be a full-time faculty member who has held the rank of professor (full) or&nbsp;equivalent for not less than five (5) consecutive years at Tarleton.&nbsp;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A demonstrated record of distinguished teaching<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A demonstrated record of distinguished accomplishments in research and other creative and scholarly activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A distinguished record of outstanding service both at the local, state, national, and\/or international levels<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A record of notable indicators of the potential for the continuation of distinguished performance in all three areas (i.e., teaching, research, and service)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>A record of demonstrating a sincere commitment to the university<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Have not previously received the Regents Fellow Service Award<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Selection Process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Tarleton State University Faculty Senate is charged with sending the call for nominations to the university community and accepting all nominations.&nbsp; The Faculty Senate\u2019s Regents Professor Award Committee will consider all nominations each year and make its recommendations to the university president through the provost.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Nominations Packet<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The designation of Regents Professor is the most prestigious award from the A&amp;M System to highlight exemplary faculty. Therefore, the nomination packet assembled for review should summarize the best of the nominee\u2019s performance in teaching, research, and service during their career. Equal weight is to be given to performance in all three areas.\u00a0\u00a0 Nomination packets must be submitted by <strong>May 1, 2026<\/strong> to Dr. Anne Egelston <a href=\"mailto:egelston@tarleton.edu\">egelston@tarleton.edu<\/a>.\u00a0 Nominations must include at least these three items: a <strong>nominating letter<\/strong>, <strong>summary presentation<\/strong>, and <strong>Curriculum Vita.\u00a0 <\/strong>It is highly recommended that nomination packets also include other <strong>supporting documentation.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Nominating Letter<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3-Page maximum<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Single-spaced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>12-point font<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Summary Presentation<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Normally written by the nominee<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Written in 3rd person<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>5-page maximum length<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Single-spaced<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>12-point font<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Please use this template (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/394\/2025\/05\/Summary-Presentation-Template.pdf\">Summary Presentation Template<\/a>)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Curriculum Vita<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-small-font-size\">\n<li>25-page maximum length<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CV should be current<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>CV should include the following identifiable Sections:<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list has-small-font-size\">\n<li>Educational History (degree type, degree discipline, institution year)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>List of Courses Taught<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Research Record<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Service Activities<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Past Award and Recognitions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.
