{"id":7326,"date":"2025-05-27T20:06:23","date_gmt":"2025-05-27T20:06:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/hr-new\/?page_id=7326"},"modified":"2025-05-27T20:57:15","modified_gmt":"2025-05-27T20:57:15","slug":"faculty-excellence-in-student-success-award","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/human-resources\/university-awards\/faculty-awards\/faculty-excellence-in-student-success-award\/","title":{"rendered":"Faculty Excellence in Student Success Award"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Faculty Excellence in Student Success Award<\/h1>\n\n\n\n<p>The\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.tarleton.edu\/human-resources\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/394\/2025\/05\/faculty-excellence-in-student-success-award-recipients.pdf\">Faculty Excellence in Student Success Award<\/a>\u00a0was established in 2012 in recognition of a faculty member\u2019s extraordinary efforts to increase student success.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Evidence of such efforts may include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Enhancing opportunities for students to engage meaningfully in the academic experience;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing extraordinary support for student academic achievement;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Encouraging students to realize personal growth and individual potential;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Providing students with additional academic support outside of class;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Engaging in professional development with the goal of improving student success;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Employing highly effective teaching practices that provide active learning opportunities for students;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Mentoring students \u201cabove and beyond\u201d the typical scheduling of classes<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligibility Criteria<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Evidence of exemplary efforts to promote and increase student success;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>At least three years of service at Tarleton State University;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Full-time faculty appointment, or administrator holding a joint faculty appointment who has no more than a 50% administrative appointment; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must not have received this award within the past five years.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Submission Materials<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Completed Nomination form (detailing the criteria listed above);<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Brief CV; <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Two letters of nomination (one from the Department Head or Dean)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Faculty Excellence in Student Success Award The\u00a0Faculty Excellence in Student Success Award\u00a0was established in 2012 in recognition of a faculty member\u2019s extraordinary efforts to increase student success.
