New participants will not accepted after May 31, 2025. All participants accepted into the program as of May 31, 2025 will continue to receive funding until May 31, 2028.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>System members participating in the program will continue to invoice the System Office as detailed in program guidelines.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Reminder: Application submission is required each semester.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For questions, please email <a href=\"mailto:benefits@tarleton.edu\">benefits@tarleton.edu<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:10px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>By encouraging the professional and personal development of A&amp;M System employees, this doctoral program is designed to invest in and assist employees further their knowledge, skills, and job effectiveness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Guidelines for System reimbursement of tuition and mandatory fees for eligible employees&nbsp;pursuing an approved doctoral programs at Tarleton State. This initiative began in the&nbsp;Spring 2022 semester. Under the direction of the chancellor, the System offices conducted a sunset&nbsp;review Summer 2024 for purposes of continuation, adjustment, or termination of the program. Information about the decision is stated above.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This program does not cover a second doctorate and is also not available to fund professional degrees such as doctor of medicine\/pharmacy\/veterinary medicine, juris doctorate or the doctor of business administration (offered by Prairie View A&amp;M University).  If an individual drops a course, this may lead to discontinuation of the reimbursement program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-flow wp-block-group-is-layout-flow advgb-dyn-f2a6aa86\">\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-purple-background-color has-background\"><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Eligibility: Full-time, budgeted employees at all A&amp;M System Universities, Agencies, and System&nbsp;Offices, as qualified below.  This program is applicable to the pursuit of a first doctorate degree only,<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Faculty<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Must have been employed in a full-time, budgeted faculty position at an A&amp;M System&nbsp;university or agency no less than 2 long semesters prior to starting the program.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be employed in a full-time, budgeted faculty position at an A&amp;M System university&nbsp;or agency each semester while in the program. (Note: summer eligibility for university&nbsp;faculty is contingent on meeting this standard the previous semester and presumed full-time employment the following semester. Summer eligibility for agency faculty is&nbsp;contingent on employment during the summer months.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be admitted to a doctoral program at an A&amp;M System university, have at least a satisfactory performance review on file, be in good&nbsp;standing, and making progress toward degree completion (no minimum number of&nbsp;hours per semester required). The employee may be enrolled in a doctoral program at&nbsp;any university in the A&amp;M System, not limited to their own employer. The doctoral&nbsp;program must be consistent with the faculty appointment such that completion of the&nbsp;degree would be recognized by SACSCOC as appropriate credentials on the&nbsp;reaffirmation faculty roster.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funding eligibility is limited to 6 years<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Administration and Staff<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Employed for a minimum of 12 months in a full-time, budgeted professional staff position at an A&amp;M&nbsp;System university, agency, or System office.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be employed in a full-time, budgeted professional staff position at an A&amp;M System&nbsp;university, agency, or System office each semester while in the program. (Note: summer&nbsp;eligibility is contingent on employment during the summer months.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Must be admitted to a doctoral program at an A&amp;M System university, have at least a satisfactory performance review on file, be in good&nbsp;standing in that program, and making progress toward degree completion (no minimum&nbsp;number of hours per semester required). The employee may be enrolled in a doctoral&nbsp;program at any university in the A&amp;M System, not limited to their own employer.&nbsp;Doctoral program must be consistent with the mission of the office in which the&nbsp;administrator or staff member is employed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Funding eligibility is limited to 6 years.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Funding<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>All tuition and mandatory fees for courses required for completion of the degree will&nbsp;be reimbursed to the institution.
