To have the best opportunity at your first preferred future home here at Tarleton State University, we encourage all application steps to be completed promptly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\">The waitlist application will be open until the 12th class day of Spring 2027.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-normal-font-size wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Please be aware of the application you are filling out for your correct housing needs and the dates that they open. The application will be open for<strong> two weeks<\/strong>. After the initial application period closes, it will become strictly a waitlist application.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Some important things to be aware of when applying for housing for next year:&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>This will be a lottery system to ensure the fairest process for all students. Meaning, after the application closes, our system will randomly select students to be given the opportunity to select on campus housing.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>There will be timeslots given to those that are selected from the lottery. A timeslot is an assigned period of time where you will go into the housing application and self-select your bed space based on what is available at that time.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will have the opportunity to create roommate groups if desired.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Group leaders will be able to go in during the timeslot to select the rooms for their entire roommate group. Please make sure the group is verified during the application time period&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each day that there are timeslots, a certain number or rooms will be released in each hall so that everyone has a variety of options to choose from.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>If you miss your timeslot, you will be automatically placed on the waitlist.&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>New Processes for Fall 2027-Spring 2028:<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>There is a $50.00 non-refundable application fee for all students<\/strong>. Even if you do not get selected from the lottery to live on campus, this fee is still non-refundable.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>You will be able to change your own meal plan in the housing portal within your completed application until <strong>August 1<\/strong><strong><sup>st<\/sup><\/strong><strong>, 2027<\/strong>. For large packages that don\u2019t fit in your mailbox, students receive an email to their go.tarleton account advising them a package is available for pickup at the Post Office.
