Important Dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-2\"><strong>Residence Halls Close:<\/strong> <strong>Wednesday, December 16, 2026 at 9:00 am.<\/strong> This close down date will remove any access that you have to your room and hall. <em>It is recommended that all residents check out within 24 hours of their last final exam.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-3\"><strong>Request for Winter Break\/Late Stays:<\/strong> Please be sure to complete the Winter Break\/Spring Intent form on time if you plan to stay on campus during Winter Break.  <strong>Form opens November 9, 2026 and closes December 2, 2026<\/strong> and can be found on the student housing portal. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-4\">Late stays are for residents staying past close-down date &#8211; <strong>December 16, 2026, 9:00am<\/strong>.  The following dates are only options for late stay &#8211; 12\/17\/26, 12\/18\/26, 12\/19\/26, 12\/20\/26, 12\/21\/26 by 9:00am.  After 12\/21\/26 would be considered winter break dates and would be charged the $200.00 fee.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-5\"><strong>Residence Halls Reopen Spring 2027:<\/strong> <strong>Sunday, January 10, 2027.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6\"><strong>2. Proper procedures for close-down are as follows<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-7 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If you will not be staying for winter break<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-8\">\n<li>Dispose of all trash in the dumpsters. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dispose of all perishable items.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean bed space by wiping down all surfaces and cleaning the floor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean and wipe down all appliances in the bed space\/common area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean common areas and bathrooms by wiping down all surfaces and cleaning the floor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shut\/lock all windows and lower the blinds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the thermostat(s) to 70 degrees auto and heat.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure door is secured and locked<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-9 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If you will be staying for winter break and have been approved<\/strong> &#8211; you just need to be sure to complete the Winter Break\/Spring Intent form by the deadline, December 2, 2026. The $200.00 fee will be applied to your Spring 2027 Texan Bill Pay.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-10 wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>If you are withdrawing, graduating, or not returning to campus for spring semester &#8211;<\/strong> you would need to be sure and follow the same steps above if not staying for winter break; you would check-out at the front desk of designated hall, turn in applicable keys and sign room condition sheet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Mail &amp; Packages<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-11\">\n<li>Forward mail if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pick up packages before departure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Safety &amp; Security<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-12\">\n<li>Report maintenance issues before leaving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not leave valuables behind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5.
