Important Dates<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Residence Halls Close:<\/strong> Thursday, May 7, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.  This close down will remove any access that you have to your room and hall.  <em>It is recommended that all residents check out within 24 hours of their last final exam.<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Request for Late Stay:<\/strong> To request a late stay, residents will complete the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/tarleton.starrezhousing.com\/StarRezPortalX\/35EE5EFB\/24\/466\/Continuing_Students_-Extended_Stay_Form?HadEmptyContext=True\">Spring 2026 Extended Stay Form<\/a><\/strong> found on the student housing portal. Late stays are for residents staying past May 7th at 10 AM, but not past May 11th at 10 AM. Any date later than the 11th, a Summer 2026 housing application would need to be completed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Residence Halls Reopen Fall 2026:<\/strong> Monday, August 17, 2026<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>2. <\/strong>Proper procedures for check out are as follows<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Remove all items in the bed\/common space.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dispose of all trash in the extra roll &#8211; off dumpsters. Unwanted items in good condition can be donated at the donation tables located near the front desk of your neighborhood.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean bed space by wiping down all surfaces and cleaning the floor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean and wipe down all appliances in the bed space\/common area.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Clean common areas and bathrooms by wiping down all surfaces and cleaning the floor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Shut\/lock all windows and lower the blinds.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Set the thermostat(s) to 72 degrees auto and cool.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ensure door is secured and locked<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once all steps above have been completed, the resident will go to their hall front office to sign and properly check out of their Room Condition Sheet and return all physical keys (if applicable). Residents will keep their Texan Card.  <strong><em>You will need to return your post office key to the post office.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>3. Mail &amp; Packages<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Forward mail if needed.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pick up packages before departure.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>4. Safety &amp; Security<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Report maintenance issues before leaving.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Do not leave valuables behind.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator alignwide has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>5.
