It is important to adhere to your specific reporting time to help us avoid any delays in getting you all moved-in and settled into your new home. Only reporting times for first-year students are listed here. <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-tarleton-texan-red-color\"><strong>Each student is permitted a maximum of 2 vehicles through the move-in line.<\/strong><\/mark> Students who have additional vehicles or vehicles not containing items to be unloaded should skip the move-in line at Memorial Stadium and park in designated open parking lots.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-ea9e54511bd438f7b8ca3796edb36493 wp-block-paragraph\">To determine your floor for your designated time, please review your room number in your Student Housing Portal through your MyGateway. Texas can experience high heats during this time, and it is important for everyone to drink plenty of water the days leading up to and at move-in. Prior to arriving at Memorial Stadium, vehicles should ensure they have plenty of gasoline and a functioning air conditioner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2afa9977ebf98580d053eac9dc66c864 wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the heat and residential policies, Residence Life asks that you do not bring any animals with you. Only Service Animals and approved Emotional Support Animals are allowed within the Residence Halls. While approved ESAs are allowed, it is encouraged that students bring their animal to campus after move-in once you are settled in your room to avoid unnecessary stress on the animal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-749bd9e51d35240dbf1699794fb930b3 wp-block-paragraph\">When arriving at your residence hall to unload,<mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-tarleton-texan-red-color\"><strong> it is vital that one person always remain with the vehicle<\/strong><\/mark>. If you are the student moving in and do not have an alternative person to park your vehicle, do not worry, the move-in team and Residence Life will ensure your items make it to your bed space! Please note that the elevators within residential facilities will be reserved for freight and accessibility needs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-bc8aaefb6f70d196f965ad6358940336 wp-block-paragraph\">Once at your hall, look for the check-in tent to receive your move-in folder with your room condition sheet and other important information. Once in your new room and before unpacking, it is vital that you accurately complete your Room Condition Sheet and return it to your residence hall office within 24 hours of your move-in. This important document indicates the current state of your room and helps our team accurately assess damages upon move-out. Students and guests should refrain from parking in surrounding businesses or school campuses; it is at the discretion of these private spaces to relocate vehicles at the owner\u2019s expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-19adcdd24f36f2eb7991907af24893d4 wp-block-paragraph\"><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-tarleton-texan-red-color\"><strong>At no time during move-in or throughout the year should you park in a fire lane, handicap space (without an approved permit), in a striped parking pathway, or a 24-Hour Reserved space.<\/strong><\/mark>  At each residence hall there is a 24-Hour Reserved parking space for Residence Life staff to respond to emergencies; at no time should unauthorized vehicles park in these spaces. continuing student, you will proceed directly to your residence hall for check-in <strong><mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-tarleton-purple-color\">August 17-18 from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 7:00 PM.<\/mark><\/strong> You will park in the temporary parking spaces that are set up for you near the hall to be able to check in. Report to your hall front desk or look for the check-in tent to receive your move-in folder with your room condition sheet and other important information.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-5181a54b8c7897bba2bcdbab01a0e8f9 wp-block-paragraph\">You will then move your car to a permanent parking space that is open to be able to start unloading your own items. We will have moving carts available to check out for an hour, these are limited and are first come, first serve. Once in your room and before unpacking, it is vital that you accurately complete your Room Condition Sheet and return it to your residence hall office within 24 hours of your move-in. This important document indicates the current state of your room and helps our team accurately assess damages upon move-out. Students are encouraged to be as detailed as possible about the condition of their space and to take photos of their room before unpacking.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-d9bdbdf526e9a41cdc95f2012732e40c wp-block-paragraph\">It is highly encouraged for each vehicle group to pack snacks and a small ice chest with water to stay hydrated while moving into your residence hall. Texas can experience high heats during this time, and it is important for everyone to drink plenty of water the days leading up to and at move-in.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-tarleton-black-color has-text-color has-link-color has-normal-font-size wp-elements-588518f7116fdf06c8323fa1f9bd38d4 wp-block-paragraph\">Due to the heat and residential policies, Residence Life asks that you do not bring any animals with you. <mark style=\"background-color:rgba(0, 0, 0, 0)\" class=\"has-inline-color has-tarleton-texan-red-color\">Only Service Animals and approved Emotional Support Animals are allowed<\/mark> within the Residence Halls. While approved ESAs are allowed, it is encouraged that students bring their animals to campus after moving-in, once you are settled in your room, to avoid unnecessary stress on the animal.
